If you are interested in woodworking, whether a novice or expert, HCWG is a welcoming organization to learn, enjoy interacting with other woodworkers, and develop your woodworking passion. Members can attend meetings and presentations, take classes, and support the community.
Fully Equipped Woodworking Shop - Members have access to our woodworking shop fully equipped with table saw, band saws, lathes, jointer, planer, sanders, routers, drills, planes, chisels, and scrapers. Enjoy full independent use of our shop tools and facility after being certified by our shop safety volunteers. For beginners, we include an orientation and safety training program.
Classes - We offer a full range of class instruction for our members from beginners through advanced experience levels and have developed a planned progressive curriculum. Our qualified instructors have decades of woodworking experience and happily volunteer to teach woodworking.
Presentations and Demonstrations - Participate in monthly membership meetings, each with a different topic and speaker on a wide variety of topics. Meet other woodworkers, view their work, and learn from each other.
Community Service - Give back to the community. Participate in group or individual activities to create woodworking projects for Toys of Tots, Beads of Courage, and other worthwhile charities and programs
